Drykorn: Fall 2009
Here is a look at the newest additions to the shop from Drykorn, a line from Germany. This line is one of our more ‘fitted’ collections, with very slim-fitting dress shirts, trousers, sweaters and jackets. The Fall collection from Drykorn is looking great and can be worn together or incorporated in to anyone’s existing wardrobe. The outerwear and shirting are the focal point, looking solid with a few other great pieces to add in, including the olive green cardigan with military styling and the classic but modern-cut flannels.

Just in: Oliver & James ‘Oliver’ Vest
We have just received our newest addition from Oliver & James, the ‘Oliver’ vest. This vest incorporates classic 1930’s styling, including a notched lapel, five button closure and is self-backed with a cinch. The vest is available in both black and grey, with the black done in a twill wool and the grey done in a herringbone wool. These vests are a great addition to your outfit, and are great dressed down with jeans for a more casual look. Dale is seen wearing the vests with Stronghold jeans, a Gitman oxford shirt, and an Altea tie.

Blazers
Men take shape with blazer for fall
Women look out, the men in your life may be stealing the spotlight this fall and they can thank my favourite item of clothing: the blazer.
The blazer is the hot style for men this fall for many reasons. It works with just about any outfit and makes any man look great. With decent shoes, a white shirt and jeans, a blazer can make you look like a million dollars.
Local men will get a lot of wear out of a blazer, since it can double as a jacket on the West Coast, where it provides the right amount of warmth almost year-round.
When choosing a blazer for fall, I suggest sticking with a classic black or blue. I also recommend men pick a slightly dressier piece to get the most use out of it. It’s far easier to take a dressier blazer and make it work with casual outfits, such as jeans, than it is to dress up a casual blazer.
Outlooks for Men carries a great selection of the latest blazers. The modern style is fitted, two-button and features side vents, and is slightly shorter in length than older blazers.
The next time you reach for a golf shirt for an evening out on the town, grab a nice jacket instead – it’s just as easy to throw on and completely elevates your look.
PS – If you’re wondering what the difference is between a blazer and a suit jacket or sport coat… A blazer has more texture than a suit jacket and is more versatile than a sport coat, which is made of sturdier fabrics and is often patterned.
